A smile in a sea of sympathy cards

It was getting a bit depressing with all the sympathy cards I was making so I figured I'd make a quick and punny one to take my mind off of sadness.

I gave this card to my husband which made him crack a smile.  :)  I was pretty happy about that smile!

Colored this with markers... didn't come out as bad as my water color! The image is from MelonHeadz Illustrating.

Entering this in Craft Your Passion's magical challenge
I was also gonna enter this in Kaboodle Doodle's Mystical Creatures challenge, but I was too late. :(

'Till next time!

Really cute card, sometimes we need a bit of humor to chase the sadness away. Love it!

Hi Cely,

You had left a post asking if I have a light box and yes I do, but to be honest, I never did it out and set it up for my pics, because it's too much work and takes up too much space.

Instead I use a little OTT Light that I bought on sale at Jo's. It's one of the little pink ones and THIS is a link to one that's pretty much like mine. It's also great to use for coloring at night!

I typically place my card on top of a piece of matching cardstock and also put another price behind it. Lots of others stage their cards in a similar way and often will add little matching elements to the picture! I know that nice white linen of silky background can look nice too. I find if I stand my cards up, they come out best, and I take the pics without any flash. The OTT light is very bright and pretty close to natural!

Hope that helps and hope you are doing okay!!

Hugs,
Lis

You won the school stamps (maybe they will brighten your Birthday even though it is a day at school knowing you can come home and scrap about it.)
