Midway through Scribble's Frame It Challenge!

Its Feb 28! Which means we're halfway through our Scribbles Designs challenge!  This month, we want to see your "Frame It" projects. Here's my midway project:

The frame is called Frame 9.  I also used the "thank you" sentiment from Sandy's digi called Words.  If you only get one digi from Scribbles by Sandy, I would highly suggest Words! It's got a smattering of great sentiments for your cards... and they're all drawn up in Sandy's pretty calligraphy!  I inked up the frame with Copics.  Used a very simple layout.  Card stock, ribbon, and paper are all Stampin Up.

Make a card, thank a bailiff

Enjoyed my weekend making cards and painting my nails.  LOL.  So glad things have finally settled around here!  Anywho, I made a card for the bailiff that is on the case that I'm serving on as a juror.  He's been an extreme help, especially when I had the stomach flu last week.  He kept checking on me and making sure that I was OK.  He's done the same for the other jurors so I figured I'd make him a card that we could all sign and give to him once this is all over and done with.

Used a Kenny K digi.  Put her on a simple card base made with SU card stock and paper from Miss Caroline (dilly dally stack).  Added some skinny black satin ribbon, SU corduroy button, some Robin's Nest dew drops, and a retired sentiment stamp by SU.  You can't see it, but I also added Crystal Effects to her boots, booty shorts, gloves, glasses, and lips.

I was planning on adding something on the inside along the lines of she can be something to look at to stay awake in court.  LOL. We have an on going joke in the courtroom...we are always thinking of new ways to stay awake!

'Till next time!

Baby Shower!

I helped throw a shower for one of my old co-workers and dear friend.  It was a surprise shower; she had no idea!  We played the clothespin game and when she walked in, she just kinda looked around and was like "why are you wearing pins?  and why is your name Onesie?"  LOL!

We always joke that the program I used to work in was the worst job in the world. LOL.  I thought it was appropriate to give out mini mixers as a prize!

This tag is so funny with it!  It's an old SU hostess set.

Some of us don't drink so I figured some bath prizes were good too.  These sets are a shower gel and a lip gloss from Philosophy at Sephora.

This stamp is from the same SU hostess stamp set.

Bath and Body Works hand soap made a good prize too.  :)

Here are the shower favors.  The local exchange had a clearance on these Tic Tacs.  I think they were only 13 cents each or something ridiculous like that.  There are tons of tutorials online on how to cover the big pack Tic Tacs.  I thought I had to make a template myself until I came across Melissa's site.  What a lifesaver!!!

Here's the cake!  Got it from the commissary.  It was SO GOOD.  And only $18!

All of us went through hell and back together.  Love these chicks (and little man!)

I also gave out "booby prizes."  Losers of the games got a gift too!  A bag of prunes, a can of Spam, a pack of ramen noodles, tapioca pudding, and the leftover clothespins.  LOL!

Entering this into Decorate to Celebrate's shower challenge.

'Till next time!

Teacher Gifts Blog Hop!

Hey guys!!! Welcome to the Teacher Thank You Gifts Blog Hop ! You should have just come from Amy Jo's blog. If you're here to visit me (aw, you're so sweet!), hop on over to Dena's blog and start from there.

Teacher Appreciation Week this year begins on May 7th and ends on May 11th. If you're looking for some teacher thank you gift ideas, you've come to the right place! Each of the designers in today's hop is sharing a wonderful gift idea for a teacher. We hope you have fun hopping with us while picking up some great ideas!

I'm a teacher and I'm going to let you in on a little secret... we like everything! Personally, I'm on a no wheat, no dairy, no sugar (Ok, maybe a little sugar...) diet and while I love getting chocolate and treats, my husband usually ends up eating them. If your teacher is all about the treats though, it makes a great gift!

Another great gift idea is anything that we can use. Teachers usually buy their own stuff for the classroom from lack of funds. I'm constantly buying paper towels, tissues, hand soap, and school supplies like Expo markers, pens, and paper. Gift cards to Office Max, Costco or Walmart would be a good gift idea. All of us in my classroom are coffee drinkers, so Starbucks gift cards will help for those dreadful mornings where we stayed up all night the night before working on lesson plans. Also, hand soap! I had one student gift me with hand soap INSIDE a pink water bottle. Something for me and something for the classroom too! :)

For this hop, I made a few gifts for the teachers I work with. There are four of us in one classroom, and they are the most amazing teachers. I decided to go for something practical (I think we're all sugared out from Valentine's and Easter!). I made them each a notecard book. I got the idea from Angie Juda's site. Check out her tutorials for notebooks and Post-It projects. AWESOME teacher gift ideas in there!

Three notecard books.  Each one is personalized with a monogram and the teacher's favorite colors.

Ms. S has an Art History background.  I figured the brocade paper was a good fit for her.

Inside.  Each folder has 2 small notecards, 2 larger notecards, and 4 envelopes.

Ms. J likes orange!

Inside.

Miss. M love all things cute and pink.

Inside.

I'm going to package these up in cellophane bags and probably add a pen and a topper.  They can use the cards to send a Thank You to the kiddos that gave them something for Teacher's Appreciation week!

 How about some blog candy???

I'm giving away 12 sheets of 6x6 Making Memories Brocade paper and 7 spools of adhesive ribbon.  Add 2 sheets of black card stock and you can make your own teacher appreciation notecard book!  All you have to do is 1) Be or become a follower of my blog 2) Leave a comment with a way to contact you if you win.  That's it!

Thanks for hopping with us! Head on over to Jearise's blog for the final stop!

Below is the complete blog hop lineup in case you lose your way:
