Happy Birthday to... me?

Aloha guys, I'm on vacation!  I will be gone for a few weeks (I do have some scheduled posts!) But today is my birthday and I need to celebrate with a prize even though I can't be here (I'm here in spirit!).

On the day of my birthday (the 8th), I'll be driving through a whole bunch of states, getting car sick.  I get motion sickness very easily, but it is well worth it to see Grandma Lee in Kentucky (and all her pups)!

I'm also celebrating reaching 400 followers too (thanks to Diana's birthday hop on the 6th) so this prize is going to be a big one!  I don't know what it'll be yet and I can ship it only after I get back, so you're just going to have to trust me and enter it! LOL!

All you have to do is:
1. Be or become a follower of my blog.  This is to thank all my faithful friends!
2. Leave a way for me to contact you on this post.  This is especially important for those of you without a blog.

That's it!  I'll pick the winner when I get back on the 23rd, so you'll have time to enter until then.

Peace, love, and Sabotage!

Did someone say my name?

Simple Stampin Up Father's Day Cards

I've been having a hard time sleeping lately.  I go to sleep super, super late and then I wake up super, super late.  It messes everything up!  I really need to keep busy during the summer so this doesn't happen, because my body goes a little haywire when I'm not at work.  Any falling asleep tricks you guys have?

Anywho, all these masculine card challenges made me realize that I better get crackin' on Father's Day cards!  While in my zombie-insomniac stage last night, I whipped a bunch of these cards up using my scraps.  My pile is getting a bit too robust for my liking...

Used my stamp-a-ma-jig to keep the owls neatly in a row.  And LOVE the new foam stamp pads!  No more arm cramps just to get some decent coverage!  The owl is from a retired set and the sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  In clear mount!  I've been holding off getting the wood mount and I'm glad I did!  The new catalog features every stamp set in clear mount now (as well as wood mount)! Yippee!

Here's another one with different scrap paper.  Sorry about the kitty cat eyeball in the background.

He didn't wanna move from his chair arm!  He was digging the Hello Kitty blanket pillow and the husband's first aid kit as an arm rest.  Spoiled kitty.

Entering the first card in the following challenges
Kaboodle Doodle - All Manly Men
Love to Create - Special Guy in your Life
Clear it Out - Father's Day
Penny's Paper Crafty - I Love you Dad
D.L. Art - Card for a man
The Stamp Man - Make it for a Man
The Poodles Parlour - Father's Day/Male Card

'Till next time!

Happy Holidays to my Blogger buddies!

I wanted to have one last final post to wish all my buddies on Blogger MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!  :)  I hope everyone has a great day today.  Here's my very last Christmas project using "Big Christmas" by Lia Stampz.  You can get it at Whimsy Stamps.  There are 63 awesome images to choose from!

This huge Christmas tree took a couple of days to color! :) It was "snow" much fun!

It's about 8am in Hawaii nei and I woke up early to make a quiche for Christmas brunch.  I heard some rustling by the stockings and spotted Santa himself!

Ho, ho, ho, Meowmy Christmas!

Merry Christmas, my dear blogger friends!

Happy Birthday Starla!!! You Could Be Wishing On a Star's blog hop!

Hooray!  Today's THE day!  It's Starla's birthday hop!  Starla's blog is You Could be Wishing on a Star and she is PHENOMENAL.   Not only is she awesome with Copics and papercrafting, she's an awesome friend.  It is people like her that make my life that much better.  She has always had my back since the time I had my first Stampin Up! card swap, to my very own birthday blog hop in August... she is just THE BEST!!!  I am so honored that I was asked to do this hop for her.  :)

So without further ado, here's my card that I mailed Starla to wish her a Happy Birthday/Happy 100 followers/ Happy blogaversary!!! You deserve it girl!

I used the Tinkerbell Cricut cartridge to make this fairy.  I think her name is supposed to be Rosetta, but I made her look like Starla. :) So it's Starla as a fairy! I know it looks like it has no greeting, but I swear it's there:

See?  I used a bottle of embossing powder that I've never used before.  It said "blue pearl" on it so I thought that it was going to be a nice whitish looking blue... NOPE! Totally translucent and hard to see.  Ah well.  I'm sure Starla will see it in person!

And here's a fun picture of my cat ruining my picture of Starla's card.  Right when I clicked the shutter button, he pounced and knocked it right off the stand.  I shouldn't have named him Sabotage!

How about some blog candy?  I call it the fairy prize pack!  You get 24 6x6" sheets of "fairy" paper (aka cute, flowery, and glittered!) and also 4 Gel Writer gel pens (to touch up all those fairy wings!)

To win:
1.  Leave a message in my comments (after wishing Starla either a Happy Birthday/Happy 100 follower/or Happy Blogaversary!).  And don't forget a way to contact you!
2.  Be a follower of my blog, if you aren't already.

Now get hoppin' to see the other fabulous fairy projects!  There is also a challenge and LOTS of prizes on Starla's blog, so don't forget to work your way there!  Have fun!

Angry Bird Cupcakes

A couple of weeks ago I had a young gal pal of mine ask me to make her birthday cake.  She said she wanted Angry Birds.  Here's what I came up with:

(my kitty adds extra credit to the picture!)

I made rainbow cupcakes (just make the batter for a white cake and divide it into 5 bowls and tint each bowl a different color.  spoon each color into a muffin tin and bake as usual).  I topped them off with homemade buttercream.  The picks I got inspiration from Dixie Delights and Crafty Kylie.  They were used by hand cutting (beaks, eyebrows, mustaches) and Stampin Up punches (2 step bird, owl punch, circle punches).  They didn't take as long as I expected!  Much easier than trying to shape them in fondant or pipe them.  I also added some flowers with some MPS cupcake stamp sentiments.

Close up of Mr. Pig.  All supplies used by Stampin Up!

Close up of Angry Bird.

The whole crew.

When you take a bite!  I used red, orange, yellow, green, and blue.  I think I could've fit a violet in there too... next time, I guess!

Entering this in the Creative Card Crew's anything goes challenge, Decorate to Celebrate's anything goes challenge and the I Did it Creations anything goes challenge.

Hope you guys like em!  My young gal pal sure did! :)
