Aloha Friday Challenge - Sports/Encouragement Midway

Happy Aloha Friday!!!  Our challenge this time at Kitty Bee is Sports/Encouragement.  We are at our midway point. We are also sponsored this fortnight by Kenny K!

Be sure to stop by the Kitty Bee blog and check out what the rest of the DT have created! Here's my project:
I did both weeks for this challenge so I used a Kitty Bee image this time around since I used a Kenny K one last week. This one is called Panda Kite. :) So cute! Love the pandas! I inked it up with Copics (I really just needed to color the kite and add shadows to him) and sponged a sky background.  Polka Dot cardstock is from the Nana's Kids mat stack. Stamp and cardstock by SU, twine by The Twinery.

Can't wait to see what you guys create! Don't forget to see what's what in the Kitty Bee etsy shop!

Custom Card Monday - Indian Wedding

I'm actually a little embarrassed to even show this card because it has a date on it!  It shows how behind I am in posting cards here on my blog! (Feburary 2013... eep!) But, I guess that is why I created Custom Card Mondays... so I could catch up and get these all posted!

This one came in from Etsy and the buyer wanted a wedding card that matched the bride and the groom, who were having a traditional Indian wedding:

The stamp is from The Greeting Farm.  Colored the couple with Copics and tried to get them in traditional dress (thats why I love this stamp... you can customize it to the wedding!) The gold cardstock is from Stampin Up. I colored the Stampin Up pearls with gold Sharpie and used a gold gel pen for the finishes.  The paper is from Deja Views home collection.

Entering this in the following challenges:
4 Crafty Chicks: Anything Goes
IDIC: Anything Goes

Ice Cream Graduation

A friend's little sister graduated from high school recently and I needed a card to house a Cold Stone gift card.  Here's what I came up with:

Used the SU bird punch, ribbon, and card stock.  The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms.  Lol, the husband had to help me tie off the little diploma.  I couldn't do it on my own! He held and I tied.

Used the retired SU slit punch to hold the gift card.  Then hand wrote the sentiments.

Entering this in the following challenges:
The Shabby Tea Room - Teal, pink, brown
Krafty Girls - Mission Impossible (the husband had to help me tie the little diploma!)
Little Miss Muffet - Rainbows, clouds, or wings

'Till next time!

Glitter Queen hop Day 3!

Hey guys!  I'm proud to be one of Dawn's GLITTER QUEENS!  This month a few of us are getting together and putting on a three day hop.  Hopefully this hop will inspire you to get crafty!  There are many talented ladies in this hop!  Hopefully you came on over via Anji's blog.  If you are here just to visit me (aw, you're so sweet!) you can start off at our head Queen's page (That's DAWN!)  Today kicks off our final day!

I will be using some paper that was in the Sale-a-Bration promotion.  A lot of people have gotten this as a free reward so I'm going to show you how to use it!  If you didn't make a Stampin Up purchase during SAB, no worries, I will be giving away some paper during this hop!  Read on for more!

Here's my final project:

I layered Crumb Cake cardstock on Very vanilla and used our new doily sizzlit to cut out the orange piece.  I love that I can make doilies in whatever color I want!!!  Some striped grosgrain ribbon, layered punch pieces, and a Congrats stamp from Tagtastic complete the card.

How about some BLOG CANDY?!

I will be giving away everything needed to make this project!  Paper, card stock, ribbon, stamped and cutout image, and cut out doily! Not only that, I'm giving away everything needed to make all the projects I'm showcasing for this entire 3 day hop!  Check out the other two projects!

My zombie toe and new challenge at Lia Stampz

I've had a smashed toe for about 5 years now.  It was ugly and discolored and honestly, I didn't think much of it because a couple of coats of pink nail polish made it look pretty normal.  LOL.  Anywho, the other night I stubbed it pretty bad and it ended up bleeding.  I went to go get it checked out by my doctor... she had to remove my toenail!!!  I was pretty sad about it.  I ended up watching part of the procedure and it looked like a Halloween special.  So now I have a zombie toe.  Bloodied, bruised, and missing a nail.  The worst part about it?  It hurts like H E double hockey sticks and I can't walk on it until Saturday.  The best part about it?  The husband is babying me and I get to eat whatever I want. :) Just today I had nachos, a teri burger, french fries, a salted caramel mocha from Starbucks, and his famous pizza pockets (made in a 1980's Snackster!) Hopefully I don't gain 20 lbs while rocking the zombie.

Anywho, it's good enough now (2 days since it happened) that I can hop to my computer and elevate it while I type.  Hooray! Which means I can tell you all about Lia Stampz' new challenge! Anything Goes plus a sentiment!

Here's my card using the digi called Winner:

Inked him up with Copics.  Paper is from a Making Memories scrapbook pack.  Cardstock and ribbon by SU.  I used a clear stamp from Impression Obsession to stamp the Congratulations across the finish line. :) I thought I was so clever.  LOL.

Can't wait to see what you guys create!  And watch out for those toes!
