Update on me and another word book video!

Wowie, what a week it's been!  Remember my job predicament at the ending of last year?  Well, not only was I blessed with one new job, but TWO new part time jobs!  I started the second one this week and boy, am I wanting to take a nap at 6pm every evening.  I would've never thought I would be teaching 10th grade math to adults ever in my life!  It makes me want to go back and thank my high school math teacher.

Anywho, in the midst of all the math and 6th grade, I had another word book order! The order was for a "safari/girlie" word book for a little chicklet named Adey.  Here's my video:

One more day this week to go and then it's time to hit my craft room for the weekend! :) See you folks soon!

Thank you card

Wowie!  I've been away since Tuesday! Shame on me!  Honestly, I've been just really tired as of late and haven't been up to crafting or getting online.  Plus I've been going to bed at 8pm! Whoa!

Tonight the gals at my new workplace are taking me out for mandoo and drinks.  Well, water for me, cause I don't drink. :) I've never gotten a welcome party before.  They're so sweet! I'm working in a place that appreciates I'm there.  Never had that before... I'm so blessed!

Here's a Thank You card I sent to my MIL for giving me my awesome laser printer for Christmas:

The image is from Sliekje stamps.  She lends her images for free.  Such a sweetie pie!  Colored her with Copics.  All cardstock and papers are Stampin Up.

Here's the inside.  Love this stamp from Stampin Up!

I have a few more parties that I'm helping with so I'll have a lot more posts soon.  Till then, zzzZZZZzzz....

Birthday challenge at Party Time Tuesdays

It's TUESDAY!  That means there's a new challenge over at Party Time Tuesdays!  This week's challenge is to create a birthday card (in honor of Ben Franklin's birthday, of course!)

PTT is sponsored this week by Stampendous.  They were generous enough to give the design team a stamp set to work with.  I got "Cherub Wishes."  Here's what I created:

Stamps are Stampendous, so are the paint chips that the cherub is spreading.  It's called Frantage chips.  Very fun to work with! :)  Cardstock, ink, ribbon, pearls by Stampin Up, background paper was a leftover scrap piece from yeeeeeaaars ago!  I don't usually do vintage/distressed, so I was happy to use it up!

PTT is also sponsored by Wild Rose Studios and Whisker Graphics.  Enter the challenge for a chance to win from these two companies!

Can't wait to see what you guys create this week!

Shirl's happy/cheerful January card swap

I'm loving these swaps that Shirl of Creations by Shirl is having once a month.  She started in December with a red/white/green theme.  Click here for the card that I sent out to my partner in December (unfortunately, due to postal service issues, hers never made it to me :( but that's okay,  I received it in spirit!).  I had tons of fun with this one!

This is a Tiddlyinks image.  I really need to work on coloring hair and how the light hits it.  Totally love this image... wish I had a clawfoot tub so I could take a nice relaxing soak!  I thought it would be perfect to give to someone with a spa certificate inside. :)

And just as soon as I sent mine out, I received my swap card from Shirl herself!  :)  The image she used is from La La Land Crafts.  She's so adorable (and hair perfectly colored!)

There was also a bunch of goodies inside my package!  WOWIE, did Shirl spoil me!  Thanks so much girlie!

Can't wait for the next swap!

Lia Stampz Sketch Challenge

The Lia Stampz DT is back for the new year! :)  This fortnight's challenge is a sketch:

Here's my take:

Inked her with Copics and used some yummy berry blossoms paper and wisteria wonder card stock from SU!  The buttons are from my stash.

Can't wait to see what you guys create!  The winner gets the digi we used called "Leah catch a star."  If you can't wait to enter the challenge and win the image, you can purchase her from Whimsy Stamps. :)

'Till next time!

Tinkerbell Party

The reason why I haven't had much time as of late is because I was working on a 1st birthday for my friend's daughter.  1st birthdays are a HUGE deal here in Hawaii,  this one had 250 guests.  I already posted the invitations on THIS post.  Here's the rest of it!

The money box at the reception table.  Took 2 boxes, wrapped them in wrapping paper, hot glued them, and added a pinata to the top for decoration.  Decorated the whole thing with curling ribbon, tulle, and butterflies! (Lol, that's my husband drinking punch in the back!)

The candy buffet: Guests could make their own favors by filling up at the candy buffet!  Made the tent cards with my laser printer and SU! cardstock.

The whole table (minus the cake pops!)

The cake pops came a little later from a 3rd party company.  So cute!

Here's a large vase of mixed candy.  Decorated with a 12" Tink and a flower.  Used Tinkerbell and Friends and Accent Essentials cartridges.

Each candy had a different fairy name.  These Red Vines are mystic wands!  Printed them and punched them out with SU! punches.

Butter mints = magic candy!

M&Ms are rainbow pebbles!

Rainbow Orb lollipops.  I stuck a portion of a cut up fun noodle in a bowl, added shred, and stuck the sticks in so they could be upright.

Bags and seals were left out for the guests to make their own!

The centerpieces.  Mom of the birthday girl found a Tink money bank, so we hot glued some plastic fern to the bottom, used that good old fun noodle to stick all the lollipops and skewers into place.  Used Cricut Accent Essentials for the flower and SU! butterfly punch.

The bounce house (I didn't make this! LOL!)

Her cake!  The catering company provided the cake.  Isn't she so cute surrounded by all the faeries? :)

And the hubs and I were the first to try out the photo booth.  What a great idea for a kid's party!

I had so much fun working on this party (and only 2 months to do it in!).  Taeya is one sweet little girl and her Mom is a really good friend of mine.  To many more!

Monochrome purple

Only been having enough time for either scheduled posts or quickie posts.  I started my new job and I need to get a normal routine going.  Please forgive me if it takes awhile to comment back!  I'll also be back tomorrow with the winner of my giveaway.  Please click HERE if you haven't entered yet.

Here's a card that surprisingly I had time to play with and make during last weekend.  Haven't had a chance to post until now.  Didn't make it for any design team or hop or anything like that... I made it just for sheer leisure. :)

The digi is from Tiddlyinks.  Used my Copics to color her.  Distressed and color spritzed the whole card too.

Entering this in the following challenges:
Craft Your Passion - Mythical Creatures
Tiddlyinks - Celebration
Outlawz - Monochrome/Vintage
Getting Cricky - Celebration
Diana's Thursday Challenge - Majority favorite color (my absolutely fave color is pink, but purple comes in a close second. :) For some reason, last weekend I was REALLY feelin' purple, so that was my fave color of the day! :))

'Till next time.  This tired gal need some sleep!

Elephant Birthday Card

Today was an extremely random day.  Have you ever had one of those days where a bunch of little random things just happen?  A couple of years ago, I would've gotten angry at some of of the things that happened today.  Today, I just brushed them off and laughed.  Little things are not worth getting worked up about (I wish someone would've drilled this into my head starting when I was a teen!).  Plus, random is always interesting and funny!

Since my nephew got his birthday card in the mail today, it is safe to post what I sent him! He turned 3 last week.

The image is free with purchase at Tiddlyinks.  Isn't he so adorable? I used Copics to ink him up, glossy accents on the balloons, Stampin Up CS, stamp, ink, and pom pom trim.  The paper is a loose sheet that broke off from an old stack.

I've had a lot of followers and comments from Diana's blog hop and I'm slowly (but surely!) going to comment on each of your blogs. :) I appreciate all the best wishes and all the comments that you guys left for me!

Peace, love, and Sabotage!

Happy New Year my awesome bloggy friends!  Thank you to the old and new friends who have commented and followed yesterday during Diana's 1st blogaversary hop!  You guys put me over 200 followers... which means I'll be having a giveaway soon!!!  You still have until Jan 6 to enter for the candy (and also to win Diana's grand prize on her blog).  After that, I'll post a giveaway for my 200 followers!  You guys are so awesome.  I also owe a lot to Diana.  She helped put me over 100 followers last year and now she helped me reach 200!

Remember I said I had more good news that I would announce after the new year?  Well, it's time to let the cat out of the bag!!!  I'm now designing for Party Time Tuesdays!!! :D  I honestly didn't think I was even going to be considered for the cut, but I guess this year is my lucky year!  Already it has proven to be fruitful!

Anywho, our first challenge this year at PTT is sponsored by The Waxed Fruit Co. and Crafts and Me.    The challenge is to use something new that you received for Christmas.

I made a couple of thank you cards.  The images are by Waxed Fruit Co.

The new thing I got for Christmas was the paper I bought for myself on Stampin Up's clearance rack and a bunch of new Copics!

Can't wait to see what you guys make for the challenge! Check out the Party Time Tuesdays blog to see what the other DT members created and to enter the challenge!

This year is going to be a good year!  I'm healing up (slowly, but surely!), got a new job, reached over 200 followers, design for a new DT, AND today is my Dad's birthday!!!  I'm taking him to Red Lobster tonight! Woohoo!

Peace, Love, and Sabo kisses!
