Celebrate the Nation - Midway Post - Scribbles Design Team

We're midway through our Celebrate the Nation challenge at Scribbles Designs!  Come join us!  Here is some inspiration:

Image from Scribbles Designs, colored with Copics.  Paper is from my scrap pile. Cardstock and ribbon is from Stampin Up.  Sentiment is computer generated.

Can't wait to see what you create!

***On a personal note***

I'm finally moved in to my new home (okay, well, mostly moved in)!  I can't believe how much space I have here.  Definitely a big change of pace from my teeny, tiny apartment in Hawaii.  I also have a bunch of creatures living in my back yard... Lots of them I've never seen before! I've got squirrels, chipmunks, and all kinds of birds hanging out on a daily basis.  Love it!

And I also love that I'm near all the major craft stores! :) I went just yesterday! Maybe I'll have haul videos for you in the future. ;)

Can't wait to see what you all have been up to!

New Project at Scribbles Designs!

We've got a new challenge over at Scribbles Designs!  This month, we want to see your cards to Celebrate the Nation! Here's my project:

We are sponsored by Bugaboo! I used a Bugaboo image call AKV Girl Celebrate.  The Celebrate sentiment is a Scribbles Designs image (I just LOVE the hand drawn fonts that Sandy creates!). Some star scrap paper from my stash and some stitched satin ribbon from Stampin Up complete the card. :)

You don't need a Scribbles image to play, but if you do use a Scribbles image, however, you can enter as many times as you wish.  Go here to play with us!

Wanna get the flower digi or any other of Scribble's designs? Check out the Scribbles Designs store!

Can't wait to see what you guys create!

Patriotic Card

I figured I should get into the spirit of the 4th! I wanted to do something with my Stampin Up Pennant Builder punch too... I bought it a long time ago and it's been sitting collecting dust, never been used.  Here's what I whipped up this morning:

Love it when there is a background paper that is so pretty that it needs little or nothing else!  Paper is from the All Seasons II paper pack from The Paper Studio.  Cardstocks and stamps are from SU.  Bakers Twine is from my LSS.

Entering this into the following challenges:
Simon Says - Sporty or Patriotic
Crafty Sentiments - Red, White, Blue
Jessica's Craft Shaque - 4th of July

See you guys next time!

CAS 4th of July cards

I had to make a truck load of 4th of July cards and I have no cartridges with 4th of July related items (I have fireworks on Stretch Your Imagination, but I used them last year!) so I CASED a cute Uncle Sam punch art piece from this talented lady at Dostamping with Dawn.

Simple dimple Uncle sam made with 3 SU! punches.  Stars are cricutted from Plantin Schoolbook and embossed in gold.  Paper is by Deja Views and SU! I also used Peachy Keen's funshine faces for his cute little face and chalked his cheeks up.  Sentiment is an old SU! stamp set that I cut up to just say "celebrate."

Even though this is a simple card, I started working on the elements about a month ago!  I made all the Uncle Sams and gold stars a LONG time ago.  Sometimes working in bulk can be time consuming!

Entering it in these challenges:
Clear it Out clean and simple challenge

'Till next time, party people!
