Glitter Queen Sale-a-Bration Hop (Last Day!)

Hey guys!!! Welcome to the last day of our Sale-a-Bration hop!!

This week (yes, a whole week!) we will show you what you can do with your Sale-a-Bration items that you can earn with purchase (for every $50 spent, you can choose 1 freebie in the catalog!).  Hopefully this hop will give you inspiration to head straight to your Stampin Up demo and get all this great stuff! (And if you don't have a demo, please e-mail me, I'd LOVE to be your demo!)

Here's my project for today:

This is a 3x3 card made with whisper white and real red card stock.  I embossed the real red layer with the SAB Vine Street embossing folder.  I also added some of the SAB Sycamore Street designer paper.  The stamp is from a hostess set called Mixed Medley.  I stamped it with real red ink and popped it on a pool party small oval punch piece.

These are my thank you notes for February. :) Every SU purchase will receive one of these with their order!

HOW ABOUT SOME BLOG CANDY?
I can't be in a hop without some blog candy!!! :) I have a 2013/2014 pocket calendar up for grabs that I decorated myself! :) Want it?  All you have to do is be or become a follower of my blog and leave me a comment.  You can comment on every one of my posts throughout the whole week of this hop! (One comment per post and of course you can go back and comment if you missed a day or two!).  Please leave a way to get in touch with you (especially important for people without blogs!)

Continue on for more inspiration!!!

Hey guys!!! Welcome to our 3rd day of our Sale-a-Bration hop!!
Here's my project for today:

Here's another yummy sentiment stamp from Vintage Verses (which is available in the SAB catalog!).   I also used some Sycamore Street designer series paper (also available in the SAB catalog!).  More of that white tea lace paper doilies and some pearls top it off.  I also made my own embossing lines using my Simply Scored scoring tool.

Glitter Queen SAB Hop Day 2

Hey guys!!! Welcome to our 2nd day of our Sale-a-Bration hop!!

Here's my project for today:

Here's a yummy sentiment stamp from Vintage Verses (which is available in the SAB catalog!).  I paired it with other awesome SU products: Honeycomb embossing folder, white tea lace paper doilies, Window Frames Framelit die, white organza ribbon, basic pearls, and butterfly punch.  The colors I used are blushing bride, whisper white, pool party, and brushed silver card stock. I also sprayed the whole thing in gold shimmer paint so it sparkles in the light!

Glitter Queen SAB Blog Hop!

Hey guys!!! Welcome to our Dawn Griffith's Glitter Queens Sale-a-Bration hop!!

Here's my project for today:

I fell in love with the Feeling Sentimental set in the SAB catalog.  There are 3 vintage-y stamp images including this penny farthing, a ferris wheel, and a telephone/police box (Hello, Dr. Who fans!!!).  It also comes with this Celebrate sentiment stamp.  I used Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake card stock.  I embossed the Crumb Cake layer with another SAB item, the Vine Street textured embossing folder! So super cute!  I also used some linen thread, labels Framelit die, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso inks, sponges, and pearls.

New Challenge at Lia Stampz! Its a Celebration!

There's a new challenge over at Lia Stampz! This fortnight, we want to see your celebration projects!

The winner will get this digi called Penguin.  :) Love his little sparkler! He was made for New Year's but he's so versatile that he could be used for any joyous occasion! I colored him with Copic markers and die cutted him out.  I put him on some paper by Amanda Blu.  Added a Stampin Up sentiment and punch and some red rhinestones.

Can't wait to see what you guys create!

Ittttt's here!!! Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog is LIVE!

I am so honored to be apart of this new endeavor hosted by Sandy from Scribbles by Sandy.  She (and her new Design Team...that's me!) is launching the Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog!

The challenge blog goes live on January 15.  The challenge rules are simple.  Challenges occur monthly on the 15th beginning at 7am PST.  Please use a Scribbles Designs image, following the theme of the challenge. You can enter as many times as you'd like and you are welcome to combine your entry with other challenges. However, we ask that you enter new projects/cards only - no back linking. Challenges end at 9pm PST on the 14th of the month. Winners on the 15th of each month and the winner, chosen by Random.org, will receive 3 digital images.  Additionally, there will be 1 digital image handed out for each of the Top 3, chosen by the Scribbles Designs Design Team.  We really hope that you will all join us at that time.  We are starting a brand new adventure and would love for you to be part of it from the start!

You can purchase your Scribbles Designs images here.
You can also find some free sentiments from Sandy's personal blog here.

To get you motivated, here is a card I created using one of Sandy's images!

This image is called Mr. Wool-oon!  I inked him up with Copics (added some grey dots too).  I cut him out using some dies and layered him on some retired SU cardstock and paper.  I computer generated the sentiment and added some retired SU ribbon.  I also put some Crystal Effects onto the balloon to make it shiny!

OUR VERY FIRST CHALLENGE IS ANYTHING GOES!  Easy peasy! Link up your project and enter the challenge at the new challenge blog!

HOW ABOUT SOME BLOG CANDY???
Each of the members of the DT are going to hand out 1 digital image to a lucky commenter!  So share the love and get chatting!!!

Make a card, thank a bailiff

Enjoyed my weekend making cards and painting my nails.  LOL.  So glad things have finally settled around here!  Anywho, I made a card for the bailiff that is on the case that I'm serving on as a juror.  He's been an extreme help, especially when I had the stomach flu last week.  He kept checking on me and making sure that I was OK.  He's done the same for the other jurors so I figured I'd make him a card that we could all sign and give to him once this is all over and done with.

Used a Kenny K digi.  Put her on a simple card base made with SU card stock and paper from Miss Caroline (dilly dally stack).  Added some skinny black satin ribbon, SU corduroy button, some Robin's Nest dew drops, and a retired sentiment stamp by SU.  You can't see it, but I also added Crystal Effects to her boots, booty shorts, gloves, glasses, and lips.

I was planning on adding something on the inside along the lines of she can be something to look at to stay awake in court.  LOL. We have an on going joke in the courtroom...we are always thinking of new ways to stay awake!

'Till next time!

That Girl...She's SEW fly!

Even though I'm still at jury duty all day, I still have the evenings to work on all of my pending projects! I'm glad that craft fair season is over and I can stop making (and re-making) the same things and get started on being creative again and restocking my Etsy shop and retail orders with pretty cards.  I wanted to play around with some retired SU rub ons that I've hoarded for just this instance.  Voila!

I used the girlie rub on and just slightly highlighted her with some light colored Copics.  Paper is from the Yarn and Thread stack by The Paper Studio (I don't sew... but this stack is still super cute!).  A couple of card stock and paper scraps, a corduroy ribbon, linen thread, and hand ruffled seam binding ribbon top it all off.

Glad to be back in the saddle!

Linking this up to DL.Art's Anything Goes Linky Party!

Happy New Year! And a New Challenge at Lia Stampz!

Happy New Year my bloggy friends! I'm starting off the new year right and updating my blog! Woohoo!  It's been a very busy year and I'm so very fortunate for everything that happened in 2012.  Can't wait to see what's in store for 2013!

Anywho, there's a new challenge over at Lia Stampz! This fortnight, we want to see your NEW crafty items on your project! Did you get something for Christmas? Treated yourself to some new crafty supplies?  Use 'em and show it to us!

The winner will get this digi called Branson Tub.  Isn't he adorable??? (Lia has a fond obsession with sheep!) Inked with Copics, added some Crystal effects to the water, sponged with some Tempting Turquoise ink from Stampin Up, added some Stampin Up taffeta ribbon.  The new thing is the paper! Whoohoo, love new stacks of paper!  Cut the whole thing out from Stampin Up's framelit dies, which made it a shaped card. :)

Can't wait to see what you guys create!
