My Mom

My Mom got her angel wings on Thursday. I am completely heartbroken.

She was diagnosed exactly 12 years ago with liver cancer and was given just 3 months to live.  I'm grateful that I got extra years with her.  Unfortunately, her kidneys failed last week and her body was rejecting dialysis.  I stayed with her for two weeks in the hospital and we put up a very good fight.

Her service will be back home in Hawaii.  No scheduled date as of yet, but will probably be in two weeks or so.

I just need some time but I'll be back with scheduled design team projects.

Thanks everyone for all your love, prayers, and support.  I appreciate it.

Scribbles Designs - Midway Post - Say it With a Sentiment

This post is a little late because I've been with Mom in the hospital (see previous post).  So sorry about that! Anywho, here it is:

We're halfway through our challenge over at Scribbles Designs!  This month, our theme is "Say it with a Sentiment."

Here's my project:

I used a few words from Words 2.  You get a bunch of words written in several different Scribbles fonts.  You can add them together to create phrases, like I did here! All of these were from Words 2.  It is such a great deal to get all these sentiments!  I just printed it on some Xpress It blending card so I could color in the heart with a blue Copic.  Paper, card stock, cork flowers, and twine are all retired Stampin Up materials.  Added some pool colored dew drops to the flowers as well.  So easy and so cute!

You don't need a Scribbles image to play, but if you do use a Scribbles image, however, you can enter as many times as you wish.  Go here to play with us!

New Challenge at Lia Stampz! No Patterned Paper

Sorry I haven't been posting much lately! I'm actually in Nevada right now with my Mom.  She is in the hospital and has been for 12 days.  If I could get your prayers and good sunshiny juju vibes, I would greatly appreciate it!!!

Anywho, this post is a little late (there is wifi here in the hospital, but finding the time in between caring for Mom is difficult!), but here it is!

There's a new challenge at Lia Stampz this fortnight! We want to see your projects that have no patterned paper on them!

Here is mine:

This cutie digi stamp is called Birthday Girl and is a part of the Vintage Girl collection at Lia Stampz! Inked her up with Copics.  Sponged a grey background to give it a nighttime look. Added some Stampin Up card stock, stamp, ink, punches, and pearls.

Can't wait to see what you guys create!
