Scribbles Midway Challenge - CAS

We're halfway through our challenge over at Scribbles Designs!   This month, our theme is "Clean and Simple."

Here is my midway project:

The image I used is called Cup and Saucers. Love its simplicity!  I inked it up with grey Copics.  Paper is from Teresa Collins, twine from the twinery, sequins from Calypso's Cards on Etsy, and cardstock by Stampin Up.

You don't need a Scribbles image to play, but if you do use a Scribbles image, however, you can enter as many times as you wish.  Go here to play with us!

New Challenge at Scribbles - AND My Very Own Digi!

Its February 15! Time for some new design team projects! We've got a new challenge over at Scribbles Designs!  This month, our theme is "Clean and Simple."

Here's my project:

I used a digi called Frappy.  And guess what? I drew it! :D I needed a Starbucks Frappuccino type stamp for this order of custom Filofax dividers.  I couldn't find one, so I drew it myself! I showed it to the talented Ms. Sandy and she digitized it!

I made a wallpaper in Microsoft Word using the Frappy Digi.  I printed it out on some SU cardstock, inked it up with Copics, added some Dazzling Diamonds, and laminated the whole kit and caboodle.

You can by your Frappy here:

The husband's birthday and a card for Emily

Today is the husband's birthday!  Yay!  Friday night we watched The Hunger Games with a friend, last night a couple of friends threw him a barbecue, and today we headed to the North Shore! We ate at Giovanni's shrimp truck (garlic for me, lemon butter for him), Kua Aina burger (pineapple burger for me, bacon burger for him), and had a Dole whip at the plantation.  :) MMMmmmmMMmm, yummy birthday!  Before today's hoopla, I presented him with his gift:

A basket of coffee goodies!  Lavender tea, flavored syrups, cocoa, cookies, a gigantic coffee cup, a Starbuck's gift card, and yummy smelling coffee bath products from Bungalow Bath Body on Etsy.  He loved everything!

When I got home, it was time to get to work.  I have a bunch of crafty things to make from design team projects to upcoming hops to Easter treats to party favors.  Whew.  Before all of that though, I encountered the Cards for Emily hop.  I had to make a card for this girl first and foremost... her story brought tears to my eyes.  So here is my card for Emily:

Digi by Doodle Dragon Studios - Dustin Pike (created just for her!).  Inked up with Copics.  Cardstock, paper, die, ink, and stamp all by SU.  Gonna slip in some kitty cat stickers to the inside too. :) Hope she likes it!  If you haven't heard Emily's story yet, please go to the link above and hop along.  If you have a spare minute or two, make and send her a card!  Dustin Pike is generous enough to give the entire cat/pony digi stamp set if you promise to make Emily something with it.  :)

Thank You card

Not only has Miss Dena Jones been busy with putting together all these hops that I was apart of, she also met up with me a few weeks ago to donate some craft supplies she didn't want to my classroom.  What a sweetheart!  To thank her, I made this card:

Stamp set by Fiskars called Love Latte.  Used a couple of Copics to ink it up.  Ink, ribbon, buttons, and card stock by SU.  Background paper is a scrap I had.

Thanks so much, Girlie!!!  You rock!

In other news, IT'S SPRING BREAK!  :) Well, for one of my jobs anyway.  Which means I get to sleep in next week and possibly have more time to craft! WOOHOO!  Can't wait!

Starbucks cup gift card holder

How was everyone's Christmas?  Hopefully Santa brought everything you wished for.  I know Santa was very generous to me this year.  I got a brand new HP color laser printer for printing out my digis, Copic markers, so much designer paper that I don't know where to put it all, and a new camera!  I'm having a hard time figuring out the bells and whistles of my camera, so I'm using my old one for now (until I can watch some pointers on YouTube!)

Anywho, there was a birthday in all this Christmas hoopla, and I totally forgot about a gift.  Eep!  I went to Starbucks to pick up a gift card and remembered someone posting on their blog that they simply put it in an empty Starbucks cup as a gift card holder.  So I asked for an empty one!  Easy peasy, lemon squeezy.  I wish I remembered where I saw the idea from... I feel really weird posting projects without giving credit.  So if this is your idea, please let me know and I'll edit my post.

Didn't have much time, so I just made a quickie tag and slapped a die cut from the Love you a Latte Cricut cart.

Can't wait to read about all of your crafty Christmas presents that Santa left!

Starbucks hot cocoa sliders

I wanted a quick and easy gift for co-workers so I decided to go with a hot cocoa slider which can be found anywhere on the web.  I wanted to up the glam factor a little and go with Starbucks Salted Caramel Hot Cocoa.  Unfortunately, there are no tutorials for the dimensions of this cocoa pouch, so I had to make em up.  Here they are:

Cute right?  If you want to give away Starbucks cocoa this holiday season, the measurements for my holder is 8.25"x 8.25" scored at 1" and 4.75."  Just add sticky strip to the 1" side and close it up with your cocoa packet in the middle.  Easy peasy!

When I made my gum sliders for teachers a few months ago, they had a hard time figuring out the sliding mechanism and just untied the bow.  So hopefully this little "pull" sign will make it a little easier to understand! Everything is SU except for the stamps, which are from garage sales.

Till next Christmas project!
