Hello Kitty thank you bags

Earlier this month, I hosted a hop for my birthday.  It was Hello Kitty themed and I asked some talented ladies to join in with me!  To thank them, I wanted to send them a piece of Hawaii, but still keep it HK! Here's what I came up with:

Cutie Patootie goodie bags with Hawaiian Hello Kitty notepads and macadamia nut Hershey Kisses.

Each one came with a matching card.  Thought the sentiment was fitting!

I waited to post this because I wanted everyone to receive their gift before I posted it on my blog!  I'm pretty sure it made it to everyone already.

Card made from candy from Kimberly's Craft Spot

Aloha guys!  So.... I turned in my final paper... EVER!!!  I am done with school (until I decide I want to go back, anyway!) YAAAAHHHHOOOOOOO!

This means more time for crafting and reading blogs!  For a couple of weeks there all of my free time was spent at the library.  No fun.  But I'm happy that it's all done and over with!

Anywho, I won some blog candy a while ago from Kimberly's Craft Spot.  If you've never visited her blog before... you MUST now!!!  She has a hip and clean style and her projects will blow you away.  My blog candy had some awesome stuff in it: A mat stack, a sew easy (can't wait to try this out!), some stamps, a lot of bling, bakers twine...I mean, I just kept pulling stuff out of the package!  Not only that, she made me the cutest Hello Kitty birthday card to go along with it.  She is so stinkin sweet!

 Here's a simple dimple card using some paper from the mat stack and a TPC Studio stamp set:

Sorry for the dark shadow in the corner, I tried photographing at night with a new lamp!  Not too shabby!

Just a quickie post since I need to go back to writing my paper...

Eiffel Tower Card and a future blog hop!

I bought a bunch of mat stacks while I was on my trip at HL and Joanns.  I've never worked with them before as my craft stores out here don't seem to carry them.  I wanted to see how easy it was to layer!

I really wanted to use this SU! stamp set with the Eiffel Tower.  I thought it was so stinkin cute.  I embossed it with black embossing powder and added the metal photo corners.  The lace is some vintage ribbon and I just used my Exacto knife to cut slits so I could weave the ribbon through.  

I may not be around much because I'm back to working full time and working on my thesis (for my very last class!!!), but I will show love on your blog if you leave a comment. :) Also, mark your calendars, because August 8 (THIS MONDAY!) is my birthday and I'm having a blog hop with some of my best online buds!  Yup, it'll be Hello Kitty themed and I'm planning on having my first video up!  Also, LOTS of blog candy to be won!

Happy Anniversary to my Pirate

Today is my 3rd wedding anniversary to my dear husband.  I am a lucky gal to have him. :)  We both have a very offbeat sense of humor and that carries through to gift giving.
